Happy to report that 12 stalwarts completed Phase 2 of Beating the Bounds (Middlemoor to Riland Plantation) on 7 April – the final leg (Riland Plantation to Merrivale) will be undertaken on 20 October. Huge thanks are due to Janet and Colin Sturmer and the Parish Council for doing all the planning.
Some key dates for this year:
- Annual Parish Council Meeting at St Paul’s Yelverton – 2 May @ 7pm. All 6 parishes in the Mission Community meet to sign off on their Annual Reports and Accounts.
- Church Spring Clean/Path Weeding Party – 11 May beginning at 10am.
- Rogation Sunday – 19 May
- Sheep Dog Trials – 24 August.
- Bring and Share Tea at Harvest Festival – 6 October.
- Wine Tasting and supper in the Parish Rooms in Tavistock in the Autumn – date tbc.
- The Parish Raffle will be linked to the Christmas Extravaganza once more - 18 December.
- Christmas Day Service – 9.15am.
- Lay Led Carols – 29 December @ 3pm.
